Island Organics

As a startup, Island Organics required a range of branding elements starting with their company branding. The only instruction from the owners was to have a turtle as part of the logo, but the rest was left in our hands.

As their budget was tight, we developed a logo and extended it to their business cards and a letterhead. Product packaging design was also required for the first product they are introducing into the South African market – Vanilla Pods.

A glass tube is the best way to keep this spice and the pods are sometimes directly displayed in a glass tube in stores. The glass tube for vanilla protects the pods from any air penetration and therefore any risk of moisture. Storage in glass tube for vanilla allows the pods to breathe and therefore develop their fragrance, unlike vacuum packaging which tends to compress the pods.

We have used earthy, sophisticated colours, with botanical patterns for the CI as well as the packaging elements. As vanilla pods are a premium product we have created an upmarket feel to the packaging. We love what we have created and the client is ecstatic with the results.
